Massey Ferguson, and Volvo Construction Equipment among others.
DROMONE design, manufacture and market safety critical hitch and coupler solutions for agricultural tractors and
construction excavators. DROMONE have secured many Long Term Agreements with their current OEM customer base.

DROMONE are currently recruiting for a Head Buyer to join their dynamic and focused team in Oldcastle, Co. Meath, Ireland.
Initially reporting to the Finance Department, this role has the opportunity to develop into a Senior Management position

Liaising with suppliers, you will negotiate contract agreements in order to reduce cost and improve performance
whilst ensuring Quality standards are adhered to. Working closely with Operations, Design, Quality and Process
Engineering you will contribute directly to continuous improvement activities, whilst taking ownership of cost
reduction and implementation plans.
You will assess any risk to the continuity of supply, agree mitigations and devise alternative plans to reduce risk.
In addition to this, you will ensure purchasing practices limit inventory holdings and maximize stock turns.
The role includes the following key elements;
This position will be based at the company Head Quarters in Ireland.
To negotiate current global supply arrangements in the company to reduce the cost of the product while
maintaining Quality, Delivery, Safe ty and Environmental standards of the product supply.
Responsible for locating and negotiating product supplies from new suppliers in cost effective locations globally.
To develop senior relationships with all suppliers as this is pivotal to ensuring smooth and efficient working
relationships exist with the Company’s supply partners.
To conduct annual [or when necessary] supplier reviews with senior decision makers.
Whilst not compromising Quality, to deliver cost reduction opportunities by proposing either new product or
new supplier opportunities.
To ensure all the minimum and maximum stock levels are reviewed quarterly and ensure the data accuracy on the
company ERP system.
Mush have strong track record in a purchasing or supplier management function with strong negotiation and
Must have formal purchasing qualification.
Experience in an industry where 100+ product lines are active.
Experience with supplier management programs.
Must have experience in locating and developing supplier partners.
Experience in purchasing in Europe and the Far East.
Experience of working to targets in a similar role.
Must be a strong experienced negotiator, able to manage key suppliers at a senior level.
Strong communicator with a can do attitude who is dynamic and has strong character but can work well with
other teams and departments and achieve excellent customer satisfaction.
Capable of gaining an appreciation of mechanical engineering product lines and specification.
The successful candidate must be professional, hardworking, be able to delegate, manage up and manage down.
International travel will be a key requirement of this role.
The main purpose of this job is to work in the area of Engineering & Manufacturing process control
Process Reviews and APQP requirements:
Setting up and analysing standard times for new and existing products.
Determining and analysing OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) on
Validation of processes from design into production and finished product.
Ensuring process flow charts and process instructions support and conform to actual
Exploring and implementing improvements to both documentation and actual work methods
Involvement and support with Advanced Production Quality Planning (APQP) for
Undertaking and/or assisting in prototype/CMM inspections when required.
Contributing to the Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) process when
Process Instructions and implementation:
Drafting of Process Instructions and other work instructions for OEM and high volume product ranges in both Agri
Categorising and communication of Process Instructions:
Review on how we store, update and communicate our Process Instructions in DROMONE.
The successful candidate will have: Bachelors Engineering Degree qualification (Mechanical, Industrial, Production,
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Appropriate I.T. skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SolidWorks etc.
Good time management skills and ability to organise workload.
Good problem-solving ability with strong mechanical aptitude.
